Grant Writing
A 50% win rate. Over $5 million secured. And a writer who knows your world from the inside.
Grant writing sits at the intersection of storytelling and strategy. A great grant application doesn't just answer the funder's questions — it makes them feel the urgency of your mission and the confidence of your leadership. That takes a writer who understands the nonprofit world deeply, and who knows how to make people pay attention.
I bring a first career in PR and communications, 13 years co-founding and leading a nonprofit, and a track record that speaks for itself. I write grants the way good journalism works: clear, human, and hard to ignore.
What I offer
Grant writing: I research and write grant applications on your behalf — from letters of inquiry to complex multi-year foundation grants. I specialise in mental health and wellness organisations but welcome all missions.
Grant writing for your team: Have an in-house fundraiser who wants to sharpen their skills? I offer one-to-one manuscript review and writing guidance — bringing a PR-trained eye for clarity, story, and impact to your team's work.

Finding and Keeping Funders: learn the scrappy tricks and tips that I wish I'd had when I first started this work. Through coaching and workshops we'll learn how to find funders, build, nurture and sustain relationships, and ask for what is needed in a compelling way.
Who this is for
This is for nonprofit founders and fundraising teams who know their work is fundable but can't quite land it on the page. Who are submitting applications into the void and not understanding why, or perhaps doesn't know where to start in their search for funding. Work with a writer who has lived inside a nonprofit, understands the stakes, and can tell your story the way it deserves to be told.
A note on what I don't do
I don't offer grant strategy consulting or prospect research as standalone services. What I do is write — exceptionally well, with deep sector knowledge, and with genuine care for your mission.
And... If you're looking for support with nonprofit leadership wellness or burnout prevention alongside your grant needs, that's a separate conversation I'd also love to have.
